Kitchen Furniture: Mereway Futura handle-less
Brief: This started out as a simple replacement kitchen. The client had architect’s drawings for a proposed extension and wanted a new kitchen to put into the available space. The client likes entertaining and so wanted not only a fully functioning kitchen but also a hub for parties. When our chief designer, Jon, looked at the architect’s proposals it became obvious to him that the plans as drawn wasted a great deal of space and what space was available would not meet the client’s requirements. So, together with our architectural interior designer, Rob, he set about putting together proposals to resolve the obvious problems generated by the existing plans. One of the major elements of the changes was to re-design (in conjunction with the structural engineer) the layout of the supporting steel work so that the pillars could be incorporated into the kitchen island. So impressed was the client that Anderson Sinclair was given the contract to not only build the extension and provide the kitchen but we also designed and supplied the dining room furniture, lights and lighting automation (Rako) , sound system, flooring, acoustic rated curtains and bespoke leather settee – in short a complete bespoke turnkey solution.
